Joe Petty

Joe Petty and his wife Deborah moved their family of four from New Jersey to El Paso to be closer to family. As Joe began looking to expand his already successful medical device sales career, he couldn’t find suitable opportunities and started looking at other options instead, including entrepreneurship.

Through an online search, Joe found Coffee Break, a forty-year-old business that caters to local business. As explored owning his own business, he asked his father Alfred, a serial entrepreneur, for guidance. Joe was confident that with a good sales price, determination, and commitment to value, he could create a pathway to strengthen the business.

“I can deliver something more. I can work harder than anyone else and guide the business in growing it to be what I want,” said Joe.

Joe learned about LiftFund during a business certification course. He realized that as a startup he potentially would need capital for Coffee Break, so he secured a veteran small business loan that serves as a peace of mind.

Now with nearly a year under his belt as a business owner, Joe has implemented a strong sales strategy that has resulted in reduced overhead and increased sales. His vision for Coffee Break is to provide more options to meet his customer’s needs. The next frontier looks exciting for Joe and Coffee Break.
