Youth Entrepreneurship Program

The Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) is geared towards high school students interested in learning more about entrepreneurship as a post-graduation career path. The six-week program is designed to help the students explore their talents and current market needs to create a viable business model. YEP includes a variety of workshops and events on business topics like creating a Business Model Canvas, pitch decks, real-world entrepreneur meet & greets, and one-on-one advising sessions to refine the participants’ business ideas and presentations.

Students go through an elimination round with faculty and staff from the high school to select the top two business concepts. The finalists then have the opportunity to present their ideas to San Antonio’s entrepreneurial community at a special edition of 1 Million Cups, a Kaufman Foundation program hosted at Launch SA. This event is followed by media interviews to highlight the students.
