Meet Krystian Reyes, DFW Women’s Business Center Advisory Chair

Krystian Reyes serves as inaugural Chair of our Dallas/Ft. Worth Women’s Business Center advisory board. In his role, he provides business and leadership guidance to ensure our services are relevant and at a high level of quality for our local entrepreneurs. As the Community Development Relationship Manager for Woodforest National Bank’s Dallas and East Texas Markets, Krystian is very familiar with the challenges small business owners face and the opportunities available in our community to help them thrive.

We interviewed Krystian to get to know him better and learn more about his role.  Check out our interview below:

How did you become involved with the Dallas/Ft.Worth Women’s Business Center (WBC)?

Woodforest National Bank has supported LiftFund for several years and in conversations with the team, we learned about their new program, the Women’s Business Center, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. I attended the WBC’s grand opening last year and decided to connect with Tarsha in order to partner with her and WBC in the community.

Why do you support the WBC?

I’ve worked with entrepreneurs/small business owners for almost 20 years, and in that time I’ve come to realized how important it is to have a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to strengthen our economies in our local communities. However, it really takes a strong mindset to be an entrepreneur. I feel that the WBC is a catalyst when it comes to developing that entrepreneurial mindset and I am to be a part of it.

What do you wish other people knew about the DFW Women’s Business Center?

How most of the resources are at no cost including creating a strong network of individuals that can help support their business idea.

What advice would you give women who are thinking about starting a business?

Do research, get connected with the right people and organizations and be resourceful.

At the WBC, we are proud to have a strong advisory board comprised of community leaders and subject matter experts who are invested in our small business community. Our leadership and team is dedicated to help entrepreneurs Dream it. Launch it. Grow it.
