Tracie Shelton

Tracie Shelton joined the Break Fast & Launch program intending to increase her knowledge to support her small business clients and possibly to gain some insight for her “one-day” business.

Because Tracie was a committed participant, she was happy to complete her homework- to develop a sustainable business plan. Her business idea to provide a shared commercial kitchen for culinary small business owners was a winner in the 2018 Venture Challenge, a Launch SA competition. Tracie used her winnings to purchase the commercial-grade equipment she needed to open Alamo Kitchens.

“I am a dream maker. I just needed someone to push me and to say it,” Tracie says. “LiftFund sets you up to be successful.”

Tracie recently accepted a LiftFund loan, in partnership with the City of San Antonio, as a way to build her credit history. She understands that good credit will be necessary to reach her future growth goals of expanding and incorporating food education for children. Working through her first commercial loan process was easy for Tracie because the LiftFund team was clear and upfront with her every step of the way.

“I needed a team. LiftFund are members of my team who want me to do well. I can trust them because I believe them,” Tracie reflects.
