LiftFund Recognized as Minority Access to Capital Advocate by UTSA MBDA

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 6, 2022) – Today, local nonprofit small business lender, LiftFund was selected as the Minority Access to Capital Advocate winner for the San Antonio Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week awards. The award was accepted by LiftFund Business Development officer, Alma Valdez Brown, who has dedicated more than a decade to serving small businesses in the area.

LiftFund has provided nearly $60 million in funding to more than 2,400 San Antonio minority-owned businesses since being established in 1994.

The award ceremony was part of the UTSA Institute for Economic Development MBDA Center MED Week. The multi-day event included networking and panel discussions about various small business topics such as hiring, contracting, marketing, and more.

Minority businesses were also recognized, including Cornerstone Valve, Freedom Sourcing, Superior Mobile Health, Allosense, and D Mooney Enterprises.
