LiftFund is proud to provide affordable funding to encourage energy efficiency projects that promote sustainable and responsible business practices and help business owners achieve their financial goals.
The High Energy Efficiency Transformation (HEET) loan program is designed to support energy efficiency initiatives for small, minority, women or veteran-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. The focus of this program is to help these businesses tackle two major post-pandemic economic challenges – reducing expenses and generating savings through energy efficient improvements.
The HEET Loan Program offers:
- Funding for small business expenses to retrofit buildings with energy-efficient improvements and/or replace equipment with energy efficient models
- Loan amounts ranging from $25,000 - $100,000
- Fixed interest rate at 3.00%
ELIGIBLE LOAN PURPOSE:
- Retrofitting buildings to be more energy efficient
- For example: increased insulation with higher R Values, energy efficient or energy star rated heating/cooling systems, energy star rated AV, Computer, Document Printing equipment, energy efficient or energy star lighting systems, weatherization, solar panels, and solar powered water heaters
- Replacing equipment and/or vehicles with energy efficient models
- Any improvements or equipment that may result in the eligibility of a tax credit includes solar, wind, geothermal, and fuel-cell technology.
FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR:
- Retrofitting buildings with energy-efficient improvements, such as:
- High-quality insulation
- Efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system
- Solar panels
- Weatherization projects: Sealing air leaks, adding weatherstripping, and improving ventilation
- Energy star rated lighting
- Energy star rated AV, computer, printing equipment
- Replacing equipment and vehicles with energy-efficient models, such as:
- Energy Star-rated commercial refrigerators and freezers
- Electric vehicles
- High-efficiency water heater
- Investing in renewable energy technologies, such as:
- Solar panels
- Wind turbines
- Geothermal heat pumps
- Fuel-cell technology
- Commercial purposes only - Loan proceeds may not be used for improvements on a personal home
