The LiftFund Women’s Business Center is seeking participants for its upcoming seven-week Women’s Business Accelerator program.
The program is designed to give women business owners necessary tools and support to help them take their enterprises to the next level.
“Our goal is to provide a program that helps women hone in on the fundamental skills of being a small-business owner and poise them for growth,” said Margot Slosson, Women’s Business Center director, in a press statement.
The Women’s Business Accelerator Program will begin on Sept. 8 and conclude on Oct. 27. It will include expert-led workshops, one-on-one meetings with mentors and peer to peer networking.
Mentors and speakers will coach and support business owners, both in group and one-on-one scenarios, focusing on four areas: marketing, sales, finance and business strategy. Other topics address personal issues, such as maintaining a work/life balance and gaining confidence as a person and as a business owner.
The accelerator program began as the Women’s Mentorship Program three years ago. Its evolution was the result of feedback from past participants and local entrepreneurs.
By the end of the seven weeks, participants will have developed a support system to help them in their entrepreneurial endeavors and gain resources and new insights to aid the entrepreneurs in refining their business models.
The application is available online until Aug. 12 by clicking here.
